What I Pen To Paper

What i pen to paper may seem a bit rough
But I'm one addicted to penning of stuff
At this time of year one of Nature must sing
A beautiful time of year is early Spring
The flute of the magpie so pleasant to hear
And the blackbird on song at this time of the year
The weather quite cool around sixteen degrees
And the whistling of the grey shrike thrush is carrying in the breeze,
The spur wing plovers with a nest to defend
At this time of year none to them is a friend
The black and white mud nest builder known to many as magpie lark
All day long is piping pee wee in the park
To celebrate Nature you need not be a poet
Or one seen as worthy of literary note.
