The pessimist and the optimist sat in the pub one night
And on the same subject each had differing opinions and each thought they were right
On the opinions that they held they could not see eye to eye
They argued on their point of views the silent one was I.
The optimist's argument was we will soon know peace all wars will soon come to an end
And the one we see as an enemy to us will become a friend
The flower of peace will bloom again and this time World wide
And we will reconcile our differences the differences that divide.
But the pessismist see it differently he said things will get worse
On human kind as he see it there's an eternal curse
He seems to think that war lovers will always succeed at spreading fear
And of wars and rumors of wars we will always read and hear.
The pessimist and optimist see all things differently
And on the subject of war and peace they too choose to disagree
It was not the first and it will not be the last argument between the two
And each of them are faithful to their own point of view.
