To Joel

You will not achieve your greatest goal
And be re-instated as foreman Joel,
You've had your chance and came unstuck
And you've abused your better luck.

In Northmeadows you dug your 'career grave'
You were so rude to the supervisor Dave
You rubbished the boss's favoured son
And you've paid the price for what you've done.

In Southmeadows they don't want you there
The workers think you quite unfair
They'd much prefer work under Tim
And they even like you less than him.

And as for the company's other crew
They are happy with their foreman Drew
And though you may think you are number two
The boss has other plans for you.

Big John is now in second place
And you're out of the foreman race
And you are too far down the line
If Drew should decide to resign.

You have 'looked the gift horse in the mouth'
And your atitude has found you out
And the boss will surely laugh on the day
That you will give the job away.

To your fellow workers you've been rude
And you have the wrong attitude
And you will never reach your goal
For you are out of favour Joel.
