Our span of time one well might say is brief like all things of life that swim or walk or crawl
And stress and worry only hurries on our end so why not count our blessings though they may be small
And why feel self pity when self pity isn't good and it doesn't get us anywhere at all
The rose that in the summer sunshine bloom will be long gone even before the fall.
As part of life we are part of Mother Earth though we feel that Mother Earth to us belong
And leave Nature be as she's not ours to control and to tamper with her seems morally wrong
The one who is a multi millionaire the privileged life of opulence may enjoy
But his financial success it is smeared by taint if for money things of beauty he destroy.
Just like a tiny grain in the vast sands of time that is all we are and all we will ever be
And in years from now when we are not around the songbird will sing upon the leafy tree
And life on earth without us will go on and the river will still flow downland towards the sea
And in Nature's garden flowers and shrubs will bloom as food for Mother Nature's family.
Our span of time is brief so very brief and before we realize it we will have grown old
And it won't matter to us in the end whether our life story will or won't be told
And though some may enjoy financial success and be seen as pillars of society
What others think of them won't count for much if with Nature they don't live in harmony.
