Is It Right

And so you've got a healthy body and suffer from no hunger pain
You've enough to eat and drink and then so why should you complain?
All around this world today thousands of people from hunger die
What they would give this very minute for one slice of apple pie.

There's a Land known as Zimbabwe a Land ravaged by drought and strife
Where hunger is prevalent and disease it is rife
Thousands of people die there from want of food to eat
What they'd give for one slice of bread or juicy slice of meat.

Is it right that starving babe should suck a mother's milkless breast
Whilst a rich man buys a mink coat for his mistress in the west
And is it right that as birthday gift tycoon give his wife new car
Whilst his fellow man from hunger die in land ravaged by war?

Is it right that wealthy nations spend billions on atomic power
Whilst thousands of innocent human beings are dying of hunger every hour?
There is something sadly lacking in us people of today
It would seem that we've forsaken god that from him we've turned away.

I amongst many of the more fortunate feel that life on us is tough
But we are never short of anything, we have far more than enough
in comparison with the people of Zimbabwe we live in prosperity
As we know nothing about hunger and true human misery.
