Who Would Wish To Linger

I hope that the reaper my life will take quick
That in life i will not linger for many months sick
For who would wish to linger to die rather slow
For that would hardly be a nice way to go
Back to Mother Earth's bosom for to rest in peace
From life it would be nice a painless release
Other life forms are not that much different to you and i
They too born to live for awhile and then die
Many do firmly believe on an afterlife elsewhere
Of a hell and a heaven somewhere out there
But there is not any proof since none have come back to tell
Of the existence of a heaven or limbo or hell
For their soul's salvation many to their god do pray
But in Mother Earth's bosom we surely will lay.
