No matter what your gender race or colour be it black, white or brown
Feel proud of where you came from like I'm of Millstreet Town
Old Millstreet in Duhallow from here so far away
The savages love their native place some have been known to say
Though in your Hometown you are a stranger now and there not even known
The place where you were born and raised you never should disown
You may not be patriotic or the flag of your Nation wave
Or even wish to pay respect at the brave patriot's grave
But the place that they grew up in to the majority is what matter most
And to the place where we were raised in we ought to drink a toast
We all did hail from someplace and between here and there many miles of sea and sky
That place where ever it may be you never should deny
And I am one from Claraghatlea near Millstreet Town in view of Clara hill
I was born and raised in an old house beside the babbling rill.
