You Poet

You poet who condemn judgemental people feel you have the right to judge
And in your rather shallow views on life you harbour some small grudge
Against those who to you believe differently with you it is not to each their own
In your poems though quite well written your arrogance has shown,
You do give the impression that due to your birthright
That the clear windows of your soul are wide open to light
Your mates may praise your poetry but that does not prove a thing
You will only know of how good you are when strangers your praises sing,
You do seem so full of yourself and obsessed with your Nationalistic pride
But for the same beliefs that you espouse millions of young people have died
We are what others see in us and we are what in ourselves we see
But we are what we really are though with that you would not agree
And you poet who condemn the judgemental by what you write and say
You too seem quite judgemental in your own judgemental way.
