To Me They Are Just Strangers

To me they are just strangers though i see them every day
And I'm sure if you asked them the same of me of me the same things they would say
I know them by sight only and strangers we'll remain
Though i know in my heart and soul that i will see them again.

A group of two young women and a young man i often pass them by
They pretend not to notice me nor give a greeting hi
One might call them a cliche their group exclusive and small
There are so many like them as i can well recall.

Like many birds and animals in small flocks we congregate
Even one of their own kind not part of their group will never be their mate
We are not that different to birds and animals as we might like to be
They never will become my friends though them i often see.

To me they are just strangers to them i am the same
I know them by sight only know none of them by name
We pass each other often without once saying hello
And to me they remain as strangers though by sight them i do know.
