You may be the butt of others jokes and at you they may scoff
But you can one day prove them wrong all of those who write you off
And though you may never get the credit the credit you are due
That those who laugh last laugh the loudest as ever does seem true,
Some may dismiss you as a loser as some with their words can be cruel
And some do lack in compassion they find joy in the ridicule
Of those they see as unsuccessful quite devoid of sympathy
They are very shallow people those who lack in empathy
For those life has not been kind to those who on their luck are down
Those who through life have to battle on the poor side of the town,
Life for some is never easy and of success they do despair
But then not everybody can become a millionaire
And sad to think many must grow poorer for one to have financial gain
And those who laugh last laugh the loudest that fact with us does remain.
