They have been around for thousand of centuries before the invention of rhyme
Those old hills of Dunkeld are so old in time
Those old stony mountains are so very old
So majestic and untamed and rugged to behold,
On the stony peaks of Dunkeld there is not a use by date
In their corroborees the local Aboriginal people them did celebrate
But by the peaks of Dunkeld their hidden graves now lay
The people come and go but the mountains they stay
Through thousands of centuries of sunshine storm and rain
The Seasons come and go but the mountains remain
Our span of time brief and the clock it ticks on
But the mountains will be here long after we have gone
Back to Mother Nature from where we first came
When not even one will recall us by name.
