You with an honorary title like Sir or like Dame
Don't you feel too conceited with your newly found fame
That's something I'd only call someone at the point of a gun
With my back to a wall in the glare of the sun.
A title the Monarch on you did bestow
And doubtless you are a good person with good deeds for to show
With your newly acquired title don't get carried away
I find sir or dame very hard words to say.
You with an honorary title don't you feel too proud
Though lovers of class distinction your praises may sing loud
Billions of good people do not have titles many of them better than you
I can only give credit to where credit is due.
Though many with what I say would not agree
Royal and Celebrity and Papal watchers seem so boring to me
In a World where the gap between the haves and the have nots has grown
I wonder have these people lives of their own?
You with an honorary title do not feel too much conceit
You too like us all sit on the toilet seat
I won't call you sir or I won't call you dame
As I only call people by their first name.
