He Was The Little Boy

He was the little boy who played in the Schoolyard
Now in his prison cell by life he has been scarred
His future looking bleak a black mark against his name
Time behind prison walls only earns one ill fame.

His narcotic addiction led him to a life of crime
And if you do the wrong then you must serve the jail time
For burglary and narcotic possession he has served two years out of three
In April of next year from jail he will walk free.

Only in his twenty second year of life and with time on his side
He is not too late to make amends and restore some lost pride
But he will not find it easy to get his life back on track
He needs will power to reform and that is some thing many lack.

Eight years ago the boy who played underage football
The best player in the school Local footy fans recall
But he ended up in jail he did keep bad company
Like they say there's one black sheep in almost every family.
