Jean

Her left eye sore and closing from what she calls office stress
And people tension at her workplace and her life is in a mess
If she quits her job she's on the 'scrapheap' and what is she to do?
For Jean is over fifty and jobs for her type are few.

A woman of high intelligence and wise beyond her years
She says as she drives home from work she's always close to tears
She makes it to her lounge room and weeps her tears alone
When you feel sad and stressed out you are always on your own.

She says her female boss is highly strung and stressed beyond repair
And in the busy office there's tension in the air
And the customers complaining as they wait in the queue
And the customer 'is always right' but that's not always true.

She could go on social welfare but that would not suit Jean
As work gives to her self worth as well as high esteem
But were i faced with her problems i would give the job away
For i would prefer peace of mind to sense of self worth any day.

Each work morning after seven she drags herself from bed
And prepares herself mentally for her stressful day ahead
And she is one of many who is mentally a mess
From tension in the workplace which causes her to stress.
